HOORC has developed an extensive network of partnerships with research institutions around the world.
Some of the Major collaborations include:
- 1. Water and CO2 fluxes in collaboration with the University of Florida
- 2. Carbon uptake by roots in the Kalahari in collaboration with the University of Virginia & UCLA
- 3. Seasonal floodplain biogeochemistry in collaboration with the Ohio State University
- 4. Aquatic biodiversity (Darwin project) in collaboration with the University College London
- 5. Rift basin geochemistry in collaboration with the University of Rennes
- 6. Fisheries assessments in collaboration with the University of Bergen
- 7. Integrated flooding regimes and human response scenarios (OKACOM) in collaboration with OKACOM and Namibia and Angola.
- 8.Functions of ephemeral rivers in collaboration with the Desert Research Foundation of Namibia
