Maun

Maun is the gateway to the world-famous Okavango Delta, and is the tourism capital of Botswana. With about 50 000 inhabitants, it is the fifth largest settlement in Botswana. The village is an eclectic mix of modern buildings and traditional huts. Maun has a range of supermarkets, banks, curio shops, restaurants, bars and hotels. There are also car and 4 x 4 rental agencies in town. Yet the village retains a rural atmosphere, and as befitting its role as the hub of the Delta's safari industry, a raw edge.

Symposium Facilities

The symposium will be held at Maun Lodge, the leading hotel and conference centre in Maun. The main conference room will be used for plenaries, while smaller break-away rooms will be used for the thematic sessions.
